For as long as I can remember I have always loved aiding in the care of others babies and children. After having my own children the love just grew, but the knowledge I wanted to share shifted toward the health benefits and pure joys of breastfeeding. In 2008 I began pursuing the necessary training and started my career in breastfeeding education.
For the past few years I have worked as a Certified Lactation Counselor, providing families with education and guidance about the practices of breastfeeding. Last year I added DONA’s Postpartum Doula training to my list of services I offer to growing families. My experiences as a mother, a lactation counselor, and postpartum doula have given me the resources and knowledge to help guide your family toward a rewarding breastfeeding and new-baby experience.
If you or someone you love is in need of breastfeeding support, newborn care, adjusting with multiples, or other postpartum assistance, please don't wait to seek help. Research has shown that the earlier in the prenatal and postpartum periods a family receives breastfeeding support the longer the mother will continue to nurse. In the comforts of your own home I provide a variety of educational classes, breastfeeding services, and general parenting support. When requested, I will always try to accommodate same-day breastfeeding consultations.
